TMG OPERATION IN ROMBLON, SIBUYAN, NEXT WEEK

The Provincial Traffic Management Group (TMG), under Senior Police Officer 4, Emilio Sta Ana, Provincial Chief, in coordination with the local police force, successfully conducted a joint operation againts all colorums and unregistered vehicles in Looc, Romblon, recently.

The said operation, has resulted to the apprehension of abusive drivers, confiscation of at least eighteen drivers licenses, apprehension of ten vehicles and confiscation of plate numbers, and the impounding of one unit tricycle at the TMG impounding area at Batiano, Odiongan, Romblon.
SPO4 Sta Ana disclosed that, "the thrust of my command is not only to go after hot vehicles or apprehend erring drivers, motorists and operators, but also, to educate them on the existing traffic laws, rules and regulations in the country". The TMG Chief said, that prior to this
successful operation, Mayor Laila M Arboleda of said Municipality has requested him, in coordination with the local police, headed by Inspector Abdurajik Aslani Isnari, to hold Seminars and dialogue meetings with the members and officers of the different drivers organizations, in Looc and adjacent municipalities.
In line with its mandate to implementr Republic Act No. 6539, otherwise known as the Anti Carnapping Law, Senior Police Officer 1 (SPO1) Rolando T. Reyes, TMG deputy in Romblon announced that their Team will intensify its drive againts illegally operated vehicles in the province, pursuant to the Directive issued by Philippine National Police General Renato Paredes, TMG Chief, to Colonel Demosthenes Felix, TMG Command of District IV.
The TMG and Police Team is proceeding to Romblon, Romblon to conduct Operation there for three days, before proceeding to Sibuyan island next week. Reyes said, "reports reached TMG higher ups that hot vehicles, mostly motorcycles are rampant in these areas, and we are going to these islands to check whether the report is true or not". Reyes informed Romblon Today, that according to the report, most of the units without valid or supporting documents, are in the positions of government officials". Also part of their mission in Romblon and Sibuyan Island, is to conduct seminars on the existing traffic regulations. The Team will hold dialogue/conference with the drivers and truck operators, preparatory to our Police Operation", Reyes concluded.
